‘A World Of Her Own’ was a project I worked on in my second year of uni for our group exhibition. Influenced by the theories of Kirlian photography and the Rorschach test, the work explores me, how my brain works and the alternate realities I spend a little too much time in. While the Rorschach test I took was a free, unreliable online test, the result that I have a dissociation tendancy rang true. For whatever reason, I’ve felt the need to live in my own world in my head. Developing my own version of a Kirlian photographic process, these self portraits are my attempt to visualise that headspace I find myself in, the good, the bad, the impossible. Not all these images were included in the exhibtion, but I adore them all. This piece is the most personal and meaningful work I’ve done so far and I’m extremely proud of it.

Welcome to A World Of Her Own.
